Why use this template
Most construction monitoring drone reports we see are either 40-page image dumps or one-paragraph emails. Neither is useful in a dispute. Under the Construction Contracts Act 2013, the adjudication panel published 101 referrals totalling €227.7 million across 2019 to 2024, and drone monitoring evidence is increasingly used as contemporaneous record.
This template gives you a consistent monthly format that engineers, contract administrators and adjudicators can read in under five minutes.

Section 1. Executive summary
A six-bullet summary a non-technical reader can absorb in 60 seconds. Cover: overall progress percentage, significant milestones hit or missed, any scope deviations observed, earthworks net movement, any safety or access concerns, and the single most important thing the reader should act on.

Section 3. Earthworks volumes
Use your cut-and-fill calculation workflow to report net cut, net fill and balance for the period. Include the base surface used, GSD, GCP count, and the residuals figure for that survey. Always state the confidence interval, not just the headline number.

Section 5. Dispute-ready evidence log
Every drone monitoring report should list, in chronological order, what was photographed, where, at what time, and by whom, with file references that match the raw data archive. This is what makes the evidence admissible as contemporaneous record in an adjudication.
